[Dublin] Jenny Vander

Jenny Vander's boutique on Drury Street is a must for the discerning vintage vulture in Dublin. An Aladdin's cave of select second-hand pieces, it is a tiny shop stuffed full of brilliant bits, from right back to the Victorian and Edwardian eras. What struck me most walking in was the sheer volume of sparkle in all different shapes and forms, from tiny beading to big statement sequins to classic costume jewels. Before mass production reached the scale it knows these days, these embellishments were probably hand-stitched. There's no doubt a stand out event piece wouldn't be hard to find in this walk-in dressing up box for grown ups... Though who said sequins were just for a Saturday night, right!?
