[London] Fashion Week Day 2 Analogue Style

Carlotta Actis Barone

As well as my handy point and shoot, I've been wanting to invest in a decent SLR for a while, but my frugal father wants to find out just how much I'll use one first! So he's loaning me long-term his own analogue SLR that uses films, old skool style. Problem with that is of course, it'll take me a while to shift back into the 20th Century ways, scheduling a trip to the camera doctors to get my funny little cylinders turned into real pictures, so my shots from London Fashion Week have taken a little while coming! However, I love the effects that come out from film camera and am definitely going to be keeping this lark up....

These are my shots from Saturday, the third day of my adventures. I got the camera on that day, my mum happened to be coming to London for a meeting, so my dad duly dispatched her camera in hand. And I'm glad he did, not just for the shots - while I was figuring out the mechanics of the camera, I got talking so a lovely guy who happens to work at a magazine in London who are looking for writers, so I made a good friend out of it too!

These pictures are of Somerset House, Alice Lee show, the Vauxhall Fashion Scout exhibition, Shao Yen presentation and Carlotta Actis Barone catwalk show. See also my diary of the day which I posted with digital snaps!
