RIP Anna Piaggi

Last week, the fashion industry mourned the passing of another icon, Anna Piaggi. I was especially sad to learn of her death. Not only was she a pioneer of her day, famously creating the Double Page features for Italian Vogue,  she is one of the few iconic writers in a world of aesthtics. She was an avant garde dresser, being a strong advocate of hats of all kinds, and known for her coloured, curly crop. What's more, she was always lovely to talk to. Here's a snap of when I met her in Paris way beck in 2008 at Fashion Week. Thoughts go out to her family at this time. She will be sadly missed.
